Minimalist Jewellery – gold necklace

Recently I have been obsessed with simple and minimalist jewellery that you can wear everyday, with any outfit, regardless of the occasion. Something that matches your personality but does not overwhelm you (unless going big is totally your style!). One of the pieces I have been looking for was a short and delicate gold necklace with a small pendant, and so I was super happy when my lovely mum has gifted me with a necklace by a Polish designer Ania Kruk. I have been wearing it every day since and I don’t need to think whether I’m going for a casual, work or evening look, as it goes with anything. I am already looking around for another one to be able to layer them and now there really is a wide selection out there. Here are a few of my favourite ones:         Which one is your favourite? Let me know in the comments below.

Palm leaf print

I have recently decided to focus on building a minimalist wardrobe, which will allow me to mix and match clothes without problems. Things were going on well until I came across a jumpsuit in a palm leaf print. I have always liked the motif of a palm, especially on wallpapers (example – Martinique) and when I saw the jumpsuit, I bought it on the spot, which doesn’t happen too often. It’s the first one listed below and I love it! I realized that tropical prints are trending at the moment, so I decided to share my picks with you in case you’re looking for a truly summer piece. I really like the combination of green leaves on a white or black background, but you can find the print in different shades, like blue, grey or black and white. Style File – Brigitte Bardot

I have always admired Brigitte Bardot – her hypnotising beauty and super feminine style made her my style icon and films she starred in are amongst my favourites. The 50’s and 60’s French bombshell created a unique style, which girls all around the world tried to imitate and some try to even now. Brigitte is timeless – she never really followed any particular trends, but skilfully played with fashion making it work for her. This time, I have mainly focused on the early years of her career and listed 7 of her signature wardrobe pieces. Let’s get started! BALLERINAS Bardot was a huge fan of ballerinas. She popularised them asking Repetto brand in 1956 to design ballet shoes for everyday use – that’s when Cendrillon model was created. You can see her wearing the exact same model in ‘And God Created Woman’ film, which made Brigitte a world-wide sensation. Our picks – Top 10 designer bags

I have to confess one thing to you guys – I’m a handbag freak. Unfortunately a very picky one, which appreciates only these beautifully designed bags, made of leather or any other proper material and which come from a brand with a story. That of course limits my shopping a lot, because I am absolutely crazy for designer bags and I can’t seem to appreciate any other ones and in effect I follow the rule ‘Buy less, choose well and make it last’. I prepared a list of my top 10 favourites designer bags, which was a hard thing to do – I am pretty sure I will write a part 2 soon! LADY DIOR My absolute favourite – I instantly fell in love with it. When I moved to London I finally had the chance to try it on and since then I knew it’s the perfect bag. I heard a lot of opinions how difficult it is to wear – that you have to be dressy to wear Lady Dior and that it …

Effortless look – French je ne sais quoi

What is an effortless look in my definition? Can only French women achieve it? To me effortless is looking effective by being natural and selective when it comes to clothes and accessories. It’s the confidence of wearing something simple and making it a statement. It’s the courage to feel sexy in your own skin, without much make up and other improvements. French icons mastered the effortless look, called ‘je ne sais quoi’ – a quality that makes something distinctive or attractive. Catherine Deneuve, Brigitte Bardot are women who I always look up to and they never fail to inspire me. Thankfully, such look is not exclusive for the French. If we carefully select our clothes and listen to ourselves instead of following the trends, I believe we can capture this spirit. Last years, celebrities such as Kim Kardashian influence people with their style – it’s nothing weird considering the fact that even Vogue featured her on their cover. Not because of her fashion taste, but to make better magazine sales. Vogue succeded, Kim as well, …
