Cereal bars

You know that moment when you are craving a sweet snack and there is nothing at home that can satisfy it…it’s common, right? The other day it hit me hard so I opened a cupboard and there was nothing but seeds and nuts and that didn’t appeal to me as much… Little did I know that after combining everything I had in a  blender I will end up with like the most amazing CEREAL BARS ever!

Anyway, let me share with you this little piece of heaven and do let me know if you made it yourself and how amazing it was 😉

 

Ingredients;

200g pitted dates (I used 100g dates and 100g figs)

84g honey

64g almond butter

112g unsalted almonds

135g rolled oats

And then use your imagination and add little bit of anything you want: choc chips, dried fruit (like berries) or a banana.

 

Preparation:

Process dates and figs in a food blender until it forms dough like consistency. Place it in a bowl together with oats and almonds. Warm honey and almond butter in a small saucepan over low heat and pour it into the bowl with the rest of the ingredients. Now is the time to add more components of your choice 😉 Then mix it all together and place in a baking dish or other small pan lined with aluminium foil (press down firmly until flattened) and place in a freezer for 15 minutes. And Voilà!
